The Gift of Divine Time: A Weekend Retreat back

June 19 - June 21, 2015

Dsc01028
This retreat is full. It is possible to be put on a waiting list.

Theme:  THE GIFT OF DIVINE TIME.  Sometimes, time can feel like a tyrant, rather than a gift from God.  Too often we use our time in ways that do not grow our souls. God offers us love and the gift of divine time. Using Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8, we’ll explore in silence the gift God has given to each of us:  time to live the abundant life God has promised, time to be present now. We’ll listen and discern how God desires to express the fullness of God’s love in us and through us in this season of our lives, freeing us from the tyranny of time.

Leader:  Rev. Fay Acker is Director of Spiritual Guidance and Pastoral Care at Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel at Howard University.  She has completed the Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats program at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and has worked with individuals and groups for more than fifteen years in helping people to discern their calls to serve.

Open Retreat.
